I'd like to replace toon linkk's head with the head of zack (from zack and wiki) but have no idea where to begin.

That's not possible. You could vertex it to look like it.
Or get Zacks model from his game and remove everything but his head. Then DL the file that give TL majoras mask and replace the mask model with that and with a combination of some bone editing and positioning you should be able to replace TLs head. But it'll replace all costumes though.
