I am new to any kind of hacking & I started my first texture hack today. I changed a few things in Wario and went inti the game to check my progress NOTHING new was there. Yes I saved it to my SD card. I renamed it as FitWario04.pac or FitWario.04.pac. When I checked my progress in BrawlBox only a white outline of Wario came up. Can anyone help? Please respond ASAP!
EDIT: All I changed was his button & the bomb on his jacket. I also used paint.

Well, I'm pretty new too, but I know that you probably need the .pcs file too, for your custom texture. Also, make sure you're not checking the shadow of Wario, (the lower option to preview) as opposed to the actual preview (the upper version)

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if you could help me with MY problem (sorry to post random here), but I'm running BrawlBox v0.63d on Windows Vista, with Microsoft.net installed, and when I run BrawlBox I can't preview or use the actual texture. I did the .pcs and .pac, and used Adobe PS CS2 to edit the .png's. Can anyone help?! D:

Huh. Funny how you can talk about an idea for a texture, but when you talk about textures overall, you never get answered. It's the people like us who gots ideas but can't put them in motion.
(That's probably why there are so few good textures/PSAs out there.)

@ Going Digital: How are you trying to "preview" this texture? Are you right clicking on the MDL0 then saying preview?
@ NotAFrog: You can download free Photoshop trials on Adobe's website. That should last you for at least 30 days. As for the texture freezing, try using less colors? Maybe you exceeded the number of colors for the pallette? That might not be th eproblem, but it may be making it worse. If I remember correctly, you can only have so many colors on a texture (hence the reason there aren't many "rainbow" textures out there)
You guys can PM if that doesn't work, and we can try to troubleshoot these problems

Hey Foxxy,
Thanks for trying to help. Yeah, I think I am. I'm clicking whatever subfolder is above the character .png's, and right-clicking, then clicking "Preview (Ctrl+P)".
Anything wrong? O__o

Can you link me the texture? I can try to fix it for you. Heck, if you tell me what to do I'll finish it. But it's gotta be quick, I'm going to bed soon.

Haha, I would, and thanks for your help, but it'd take about 2 mins to upload to some server, etc.
Maybe if i linked you and then you did it tomorrow...? Plus all I really want to know is how to fix it.
Thanks -GoingDigital

Okay, do that ^_^ I'll take a look at it when I get home tomorrow and see if there's anything wrong, and I'll show you how to fix it. PM the file, as well as a list of all the known problems and what you're trying to do/already have done.. By the time I get on tomorrow, this topic is gonna be buried under a bunch more so I won't have an easy time finding it...

That might be it. I was going color crazy. But when I preview the texture All I get are bones and a little bit of his head animation. Am I replacing the file wrong? All I did was change it then hit replace file or something like that.
