I am trying to manually install the COLLADA plug in for 3DS Max 2010.  But I can't see how to do it.  The file I got from the COLLADA folder has no files that 3DS max reads as plug in files.  All I am trying to do is open my .dae file as a COLLADA in 3DS Max. :c

Help?

EDIT: Another question:

I open the .3ds file in 3DS Max 8 or 2010 and I can't find the option to show the vertices.  It is normally under modify but there is nothing there.

All I need to know is: How do I install the COLLADA plug-in when it doesn't automatically install it for me?

Ah, the COLLADA only works with 3DS MAX 8.

EDIT: If all else fails, you could try this tut that I use.
