I recently downloaded The Palace of Twilight stage and I have been getting freezes upon selecting it. The stage is originally over Battlefield but I used the stage .rel switcher to port it over Mushroomy Kingdom I put the .rel it made (st_mariopast.rel) in my module folder just like any other .rel. I renamed the stage file to STGMARIOPAST_00.pac and then I copied it and renamed the copy to STGMARIOPAST_01.pac and dragged them both into my stage folder. I am a Riivolution user so I don't know what the problem is.

Yup, I have the exact same problem.  I'm trying to replace Mushroomy Kingdom with Luigi's Mansion.  I've got the one  st_mariopast.rel file, and two files named STGMARIOPAST_01.pac and STGMARIOPAST_00.pac

The same thing happens when I try to replace Mario Circuit as well.

The beeping sound pierces my soul, and I can't handle it anymore.

I desperately need help since I loathe these stages and would love to replace them over some I actually somewhat like.  Kirby signals for your help  Kirby Dance.

    Edit:
I tried it with Port Town, which I have replaced before with Smashville, and got the same terrible beeping freeze.  So I guess another question I have is, has anyone tried replacing any stage with Luigi's Mansion?  I'm starting to think that this has never been done successfully (yes, I am that infallible Grin) .

I recently tried to port Castle Siege over to Green Greens as someone requested it, but I got a beeping freeze upon selecting Green Greens even though I had the correct .pac files and the correct .rel. I was able to port Green Greens to Castle Siege, though. I think any stage that has multiple .pac files like Mushroomy Kingdom and Castle Siege can't be ported for some unknown reason I'd like to know myself. I'd also like to know how you port multi-.pac stages to one-.pac stages.

Well could you tell me what I did wrong then?

    -I downloaded a STGDXGREENS.pac.
    -I downloaded a st_dxgreens.rel.
    -I hex-edited st_dxgreens.rel in HxD and replaced its ID (2D) with Castle Siege's (19).

So...? Anything wrong you see there?
