So, I was just looking at the help section of this forum and I thought, too many people have problems with riivo, so I made a short kinda tutorial... its not a very shiny one, with colours and stuff, but its helpfull I think, and that's what matters right?
Okay so first get an sdcard then download riivolution.
Download Riivolution here:
http://rvlution.net/riivolution.zip hen if it is finished downloading, put the riivolution folder in the Apps folder, like this
SD:\Apps\Riivolution then download this riivolution XML file (Right click and save as):
http://rvlution.net/riivolution/images/5/5c/SSBBfiles.xml Save it in your riivolution folder on the root of the SD card so like this:
SD:\riivolution\ then if you want some ocarina codes, download this XML file too:
http://rvlution.net/riivolution/images/7/78/RiiOcarina.zipits a zipped file, so just click the link and open the zip file, then double click the riivolution folder and copy the xml and the bin file to your own riivolution folder.
And I mean the one on the root of your SDCard, NOT the Riivolution folder in the apps folder.you can't use much codes, if you want to use codesets like brawlplus, then you have to find a custom xml to use the codes. and now you should be ready to use Riivolution. and BTW, the folder paths for your hacks are the same as the file path from the file patch code so:
SD:\Private\Wii\App\RSBE (P if you are a PAL user)\PF\And in the pf folder are all your hacks and folders like Fighter or menu2 or something
oh and one last thing untill I remember something else that I have to tell you too, you can use the sc_selcharacter.pac in the menu2 folder, but you have to rename it to sc_selcharacter_en.pac so...if some files aren't working, put _en at the end of the file name, like, sc_selmap_en.pac
and this other last thing too xD: if you start riivolution enable the File Code replacements
(NOT THE FILE PATCH CODE FROM PHANTOM WINGS!! you don't need that code with Riivo) on the first page on the riivo program on your wii, and then go to the second page and enable the ocarina, and select a hooktype, But you have to test the hooks by yourself, because I Don't know the right one, but if you realy want to know, i'm using the joypadhook/. So test it out and see if it works!
Edit: Well, I see that many of you guys still have problems with riivolution so here is how your Riivolution setup sould be...
