oh yeah and there is one more thing, i heard that it is impossible to use vey long codes so things like brawl+ shouldn´t work.
I wasn´t able to use all the codes too but there are a lot of working codes

Get the gameconfig.txt file.
Let's you use as much codes as you want.

Did you have to rename it to riivolution.gct? I'm excited -- this may work for me.

I just tested out your XML and it works fabulously. It got all of the stages that weren't working with my previous one to work. Thanks a lot!
