Okay, what I want to do is swap Samus's model with Marth, but still keep the sword and cape, so I can kinda make a female marth character. (Actually just a female char with a sword ) Marth has a total of 71 bones in his model, and ZSS has 67 is it possible to swap just the models but keep the cape and sword?

I doubt it but don't count on it. I'm sure it could be. Your suggesting merging their models correct?

Sort of, I want to replace marth's model(Just his actual body/head parts) with ZSsamus's, but still keep at least the sword and cape, so I could make a new female character for brawl that has a sword. EDIT: The reasons I want to swap her with marth instead of the other way around is cause ZSS's .pac filesize limit is a total bi- to work with.

Okay, but what about swapping the entire models and making the sword a graphic effect? Would that work.

You could delete all of marth except his sword then get ZSS to spawn that model in her hand in every animation but that would be very time consuming. You'd then have to make a whole new moveset for her aswell.

You would just attach the trace to one of her bones.

But that wouldn't be a sword, it would be a glow.

Well Wackalpacka's video says in one of the comments of his model swap tutorial that you could swap anyone as long as the tutorial was followed exactly. I'll try just replacing his model entirely with hers, then maybe see about if I want to give her a sword or not.
Or just wait for lyn....but that would be cheating >_>

I remember seeing a female marth vertex somewhere in the vault if you wanna use it as a base for it. Just remember to give credit to the creator.
