If it does, just load it through Gecko.

That doesn't work Segtendo/LordNOaH. You need to update your wii's ISO for the game to work, playing it through gecko will just cause you get get a blue screen and en error message.

I thought if it needed an update and you ran it through Gecko, it would install the IOS's needed.

Nope. I recently was running SMG2 on a wii with a 4.1 firmware (And thus an old ISO.) I thought it would fix itself if I ran it through gecko but... obviously not. XD

it does work with a lot of games that don't use new firmware though, like metroid prime trilogy, etc.

My mind is like lightning, one brilliant flash and it's gone... Remember brawlbox 0.64b DOES NOT WORK! download .63 or under or it will give you problems later. Download to .63 modset: http://www.mediafire.com/?ud5s402d8u6ad6k#

Hmm... That's a very valid question for me, as I plan on getting DKCR... I disk-updated with NSMBW and MPT, and Homebrew didn't go away, so I dunno.

There are no new System Menu updates (after the 9/8 update) before that game was released, so I doubt that the System Menu will be affected when you play DKCR. Of course, the game may require you to install certain IOSes onto your Wii before playing.
