And I'm fairly sure you have to use 3ds Max 8 for vertexing, I don't think you can use Blender.

Just use fake information. It's not like they check it for authenticity. Anim8ter is free and you can vertex with it, you have to download a specific version of Vertex box for it though.

Blender...if im not mistaken, can do vertex edits...however, u have to convert the Brawl model to a format readable by Blender
