The pictures for those hacks are censored for the same reason he says they should have their section. If we restrict them to only certain users then we should decensor(?) the pictures. Because If you're going to restrict them to only people 18 and up, then those people should be able to see the content uncensored. Imagine buying the unrated version of a DVD movie, and finding out It's content is as tame as the PG-13 version.

Besides, there's always a way around age verification systems. You can sign up and simply lie about your age, or If your age is verified through a series of questions, the people who don't know the answers can simply ask the people who do know the answers.

Then there's these things:

Somehow, compared to the rest of the internet, we've managed to keep relatively clean. That is to say... if someone were to start up a line outright pornographic hacks, it would be necessary to add such a feature but censored nudity is of little worry to me.

Anything that requires adding new fields to the database requires a LOT of work and error testing to make sure that each page that pulls / sets data doesn't break.

On the bright side, restricting all nude hacks to just the members of the forum would guarantee you thousands of new member registrations within the first couple days. Your population would basically explode with horny male teenagers. And all of them would be lurkers.

Call me jaded and cynical, but I'm pretty sure porn is the primary motivator behind 75% of internet usage. (And yes, nude hacks are softcore porn. Brawl players do not download them with the intent of selling tastefully censored snapshots to classy art collectors.) Using such power to attract new members is like tapping into a dark and forbidden magic - who knows what horrors you'll unleash, and it's impossible to go back afterwards.

But hey, it's not like this board has many inhibitions in the first place. DMN666 alone would give many feminists an apoplectic aneurysm, never mind all the other panty shots and exposed cleavage I've seen in the other sigs/avatars around here.

How about instead of restricting certain hacks to certain users, we add a feature to the search function that allows you to omit words/phrases from your search?

Why is it bad for people to report for typos. It's better than PMing them so that way they don't get flooded with the same report... I honestly don't see the problem.

I notify people of typos all the time, but I usually do it in a PM since people like you guys will just point and laugh behind my back if it's a report.

There are two factors to consider:
1. Lag
2. Quick posting doesn't refresh the page and therefore it doesn't refresh your postcount.

You don't seem to understand what reporting is for. It's to let both the hack creator, and everyone else know what's wrong with the hack. Spelling errors are nothing. If you report a hack for spelling errors and someone else discovers an actual problem with the hack, they won't be able to report It because you reported It for spelling errors. So yes, PMing the person about It is the way to go. Not reporting them.

I don't know who made the report (it wasn't me) but I saw it as I was trying to see that my music hack had made it in the pending hacks list. I know that technically there is nothing wrong with this stage hack, but...I mean...WTH? Do I even have to comment on it? Or the very brief report? 'Cause the weirdness is self-explanatory...

Wait, should it even be reported in the first place? Technically it's fine but in practice it's just plain creepy.
