Well, I wish someone would keep working on File Patch, for those like me who hate Riivolution.

I use Gecko with StackSmash because it works regardless of the Wii System version.

Try replacing the info_en.pac/info.pac with the original PAL/NTSC/JAP Version from the Vault Resources.
Info.pac works fine with Gecko for me, never had any trouble with it. I'm now using the USB Loader though since my disc drive is nearly failing me..

Agreed fully. That's getting annoying <_< (I'm using usb loader as well, useful for SFX replacing ^^)

Yeah, get an info.pac from the vault. You may have forgot you modified it
