Is there a file size limit for stages too?

Can a stage work at 5,622KB?

Depends on the stage.

A few stages, such as Jungle Japes and Shadow Moses Island have very strict file size limits, and going over the default size will freeze the game.

WWR and Final Destination have arguably the largest file size limits.

It's more of a port/rel port over Jungle Japes and rel over Final Destination.
