I haven't used Gecko for a while, and I just tried using it today, and it did not work... I went through the steps I had to in order to play Brawl, but Gecko says there is a SD error, and won't allow me to play with textures... Did I do something wrong? Thanks for your help!

You'll have to give more information.

Did you add anything onto your SD card since last playing with Gecko?
Do you use Homebrew Channel or load through the Stage Builder editor, or another method?
Are textures the only thing that do not work (and do you have any other hacks other than retextures)?
You can add anything else you think is relevant.

I tried adding things such as Triiforce, but other than that, I don't think there was anything else. I didn't delete anything either.

I use the Homebrew Channel to access Gecko.

Nothing works. Not textures, or movesets or anything of the like.

Sorry it's been so long since I have replied. Hopefully nobody considers this a bump.

you DID enable the "SDCheats" option, right?

you DO have the FPC code in your code file, right?

I don't remember doing anything with a "SDCheats" option... Where do I find that?

I downloaded the latest version of Gecko (I guess I had an older version), but that still didn't work.  So I looked up a guide on how to do it all again, and I find a video (
    <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEFCP6PUqQ4" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEFCP6PUqQ4</a>
) and they had a whole pack that had all the things needed, so I put that on my SD card and it still doesn't work... Sad

I just read somewhere that my Wii might not be able to handle a 4 GB SD card, which is what mine is... Is that true?

The Wii doesn't play nice with SD cards higher than 2GB, hence why Gecko OS isn't working right.

Darn, that's lame... I got rid of my old SD card to get this new 4GB one... Guess I will have to go and get a different one then!

Huh... I read that Brawl just doesn't read SDHC cards.

    Would it read a 4GB SD? Though I rarely see non-HC 4GB.

Oh, I just realized my card is a SDHC card... That totally explains my problem! I guess I will have to get a new SD card then... Sad Thanks for your help everyone! Hopefully this will solve my problem, because I believe that's the only thing from stopping Gecko.

with Riivo, you can use SDHC cards of all sizes. I use my SDHC for both Riivo, my Camera, and as a storage for files (its 32 GB btw)
