Hi all quick question as new to the whole hacking front, I have come to apply textures and stage hacks yet am still having issues involving getting certain stages to work on my PAL version of the game. Therefore I was wondering if anyone had done a list showing which (at the least) popular stages are compatible with both PAL and US versions.. either that or I'm just a bit retarded and can't get them to work  Kirby Dance

Kinda new so plz don't eat alive if indeed stupidity is afoot Smiley

Well, many stages lose their compatibility with PAL just because of the filesize. I've been reported some of my stages to work in PAL, but don't know which ones right now. For example, Ganon's Tower worked I guess, and If not, you can get the special PAL version, which sure worked (I didn't change it since the time it was tested).

I don't usually test stages in PAL, so I can't tell you more than this, sorry ^^U

kk thank you it seems in particular animated stages such as Astral Phazon Destination which freezes when the first back ground changes and great desert which doesn't work at all and both have a large file size like you said. Thanks for the input Smiley

Also your new stuff is SWEET can't wait to give it a try  Grin

most stages work in PAL. They mostly screw up when they need special .rels to work, but the included .rels are the american ones and don't work for some reason...

I totally wanted to play on Dracula's Castle but never could because PAL is cursed like that.

I've never had a problem with any of Mewtwo's stages, through.

I guess I ported that stage once for P:M purposes, I could make the original in the vault work over Luigi's Mansion or FD if you want.

I've also got one sneaky quick question, can you place your files over random stages without .rel files such as ganon's tower and fountain of dreams etc. or do they have to be wifi/FD stages? Smiley

Depends on the stage. Most people only make them over FD without adding ModelDatas, so you'll need to port an FD rel to the stage you want, which is easily doable with Bero's stage switcher and PAL .rel files.

However, stages built for working over multiple originals, like Mewtwo's, will work over all of those. So if FoD is built for replacing Green Greens and FD, it will replace both of those without .rels

    No abusing at all xD

Here's the stage, working over Luigi's Mansion without rels.

Also, I've made a few minor fixes not changing the gameplay, only the shadow direction and how the stage looks when paused or fixed camera mode. Should still be working over the original stage, 75m I guess.

How do you find out what stages textures go over? As in how do you find out FoD is built for replacing Green Greens and FD etc. Smiley thanks for all your help once again XD

M2000 always notes what stages it goes over without rels in his descriptions.
Aside that.. If you really don't know and want to be certain you could always PM the creator.
