Updating wii without removing homebrew?

I need a wii system update to play wii sports resort now, apparently, and launching through gecko OS doesn't work (gives me an error message)

I'd be fine with reinstalling homebrew, as long as it isn't removed forever...

I think there's an app that allows you to update without removing homebrew, I dont remember though...

If you have the latest version of the homebrew channel all of the homebrew should stay intact. If you want to avoid updating at all costs you could block the update by using Priiloader/Startpatch hacks.

you can just update, no prob, with stack smash or something you can get the homebrew channel on your wii again, and I know that its true because I'm on the latest 4.3 firmware and I have the HBC and riivo and stuff :P
