Sound Effect Replacement

I apologize if this has been asked to death, but I couldn't find anything on it.

My question is about the replacement of music/sounds not controlled within the options settings.  Specifically, I would like to replace the music that plays whenever someone picks up a Hammer/Golden Hammer.  I've spent the last hour searching the internet for leads, but have come up empty.  Is it even possible to do this and if so, how would I do this?
