This is a bit late but I think you should go for option 1 for hammer bros because that seems much better for a final smash but if it doesn't work then option 2 seems fine to me.

Sledge bro. is larger version of Hammer Bro. (Vertex and One Shot size mod as
SMBZ Mario, Paper/Baby Mario)
L33T Hamm3r Broz. need Vertex for antenna on helmet.
