i tried to downgrade my wii and now when i turn it on it doesnt do anything just shows a black blank screen  Im srs here can it be fixed? i cant go to homebrew channel

    It's a good idea to never, ever downgrade your Wii.  It's unsafe no matter what you do and unfortunately you probably bricked your Wii.  There are, however different levels of bricking and some can be repaired.  Did you install the WiiBoot (I think that's what it's called) or some other rebooting program?


    Edit:  Lol WiiBoot     BootMii is what I was looking for.

    You shouldn't even need to downgrade.

    I tried; thankfully, I was able to downgrade successfully, but I would NEVER recommend it.

    And it sure sounds like you have a brick. Unless you installed Priiloader or BootMii, I don't think you can recover...

    but seriously, never attempt to downgrade. 99.9% of the time you always brick your wii. But since you did and failed.

    If you don't have BootMii or any other restart program, you just threw away a $200 system into the crapper. Sorry

    I'm still running the ol' 3.2u firmware. Back then, downgrading wasn't scary, cause the dreaded 4.0 wasn't released yet. I've had starfall on there ever since, and haven't had to update. heh

    lets see... i used to have a 4.0 wii... i was successfully able to downgrade to 3.4 to use hacks again. but then when the 4.3 update came out, w/o my knowing, my friend upgraded my wii >.>

    so then i searched how to get HBC back and stuff... and was able to downgrade to 4.1, and it still works. this time i have disc and internet update turned off.

    i do have bootmii and priiloader on my sdcard and my SSBB copy says it has an update for my wii, so would that help? and on the slightly brighter side i dont play my wii very often and now i have super mario sunshine
