Is there any simple tutorials as to how I can use different programs to do textures?
Is there any way to add the CPS without using brawl extract? (drag and drop?)

There are readmes in the hacking programs. It's really as simple as running step1, screwing around with stuff in an image editor, then running step2.

A: TGA files, also known as CSPs, allow you to see the custom characters on the selection screen. In order to get these to work, you need to run them through CUPASH (which requires texconv, ntcompress, and a common pac [explained in readme!]) Video Example
