I don't really like the idea of a 9000+ posts award... I mean, what's the point of having an award that only people with a modified post count will get?
Maybe there's like 2 or 3 people who got 9000+ posts mostly with spam tho.

You should have an award under "Brawlvault" similar to the "___ Hacker" landmarks for downloads; have one for average downloads or most downloads for an individual hack. The reasoning behind this is to reward newer hackers that may not have all the download counts that an older hacker has.
Maybe once everything is automated, you could have a landmark for how many years the user has been on the forums? Something like a "veteran" award. Of course, it would be extremely hard to hand out awards to everyone, hence why you should wait until it can be automated.

Texturizer - An award for someone who has over 2000 total Downloads, with 80% or more of them being from textures.
Music Man - An award for someone who's Vault is made up mainly of Music hacks.

First one is too generic.
and we're not doing specific types of hacking. It be a headache. |

Let's see the ideas that have been suggested ...
- Award for being featured on the blog => Kept in the ideas box.
- The 9000 posts thing, I'm still against it. Hasn't changed. But hey, keep the Icons, just in case.
- Award "for average downloads". I am definitely not a big fan of this one. Reason is, it is a value that can decrease. So if you reach let's say 1000 DL per hack, but post like 300 mucic hacks, you'll fall way below the "landmark" you were supposed to have.
- "most downloads for an individual hack." => We already have ONE award in preparation for people who manage to get over 3000 DL with one of their hacks (a limit 2000 DLs would be too hard to keep track, as more than 100 hacks fit this category). I'll try and finish this one today. I still need to find a name for it, thoug. .-.
- "Something like a "veteran" award." Yeah, we already thought about this, but the non-automatism kinda screwed our motivation. We already have the icons planned, though. =P
- Texturizer/ Music Man. Again, we would love to have such awards, but unfortunately can't do that without automatisation. We'd more or less need to browe all user's BV galleries with a pocket calculator to find the "80% / Mostly". x_x

There's no objective way to determine something like that.
Besides we shouldn't get overboard with those awards, what we have right now is quite enough for the start. Oh and post-based awards are big NO >.> |
