I think I'll clarify a bit on how we distribute awards. That way people can propose things that we can actually make happen.
Awards are given in 2 possible ways :
1) The user did something that is easy to keep track of, and known by most of the team. Examples : Donator, The Bread Winner, Staff Helper, Featured.
Easy to keep track of means we can check if the person did that by browsing one or two topics Maximum. That also includes most of the Social titles and all the contests.
2) Statistic based awards. These are all the current BV awards, as well as Tutorial Writer and Good Citizen. They are updated regularly by using a simple classification method. For the BV awards, it's through he Stats page. For Good Citizen, by simply sorting the Reports by author. For Tutorial Writer, by clicking on each new tutorial.
3 kinds of award we don't really want :
- One that is given to something like 200 people right from the start.
- One that is given to mostly people with no posts or whose last time online was, like, 1 year ago.
- One that is given to basically the exact same people as another award.
A hack you made has under 10 downloads in one year? lol
Lol. That one I like, and it's definitely easy to check and update. xP
Something involving being a member for a certain period of time. Probably should have a set amount of posts, too. 500 or something.
I guess we could do that, yes.
Although we had a different design idea for such an award.
Winning a gaming tourney. A non-Brawl one that it. Mario Kart for example.
Yeah, that's what I had in mind, so we'll keep that one for the next non-SSBB gaming tourney.
The next level of the Staff Helper award. Like 50 legit reports or something.
Not really sure about the link with the ninjas ... But the award idea itself sounds good.
