[Help] Game Freezes when entering Stage Selection

Im a complete Noob at all of this  
But have been following instructions and even been to several websites trying to get my Scott Pilgrim Character to work.
My problems are simple but annoying;
1. He isn't showing up in Lucas' slot in the CSS
2.His Avatar doesn't pop up when i pick Lucas
3.If I wait longer than a second in the Stage Selection Screen the Game Freezes and lets off a eeeeeeee kind of sound but if i press start and choose at random I can play and use all of his moves. (Still says Lucas Wins when I win though)

Any and all Advice and Help would be appreciated, the quicker the better as I want to get a coupl other Characters as well. PLEASE AND THANK YOU

It may be your css try downloading one from the vault and put him in that

My CSS? that stands for Character Selection Screen Doesnt it? I dont know how to alter the Screen yet, I thought I'd start with Characters and Then the Screen. I do have a Folder here called "Css Stuff" and im not sure where to put. If you could write the path like "private/wii/app/rsbe..." and so on. The folder includes two folders one called Portrite and the other that says use brawlbox to insert and i have brawlbox but I am unsure how to use

I have put All of the correct things in the "Fighter/Lucas" section but Im unsure about everything else

Did you go to the tutorials and guides section here?
I mean, if you didn't, do it, there are alot of tutorials that can help you.
