Brawl Vertex Editor tool request

Damn 3ds Max. Damn Blender. None of the programs allow me to view and edit SSBB models in my laptop, and I've been searching on Google for 3 hours for a Vertex editor with no success So, what I'd like to request is a software that can edit vertices from basically any 3D file (especially DAE and MDL0s) so I can create my own robot with that. BrawlBox doesn't allow editing of vertices. And don't link me to a tutorial, 'cause I tried and there was NOTHING in 3ds Max. Does anyone here knows a good tool for editing vertices other than Blender or 3ds Max?

3DS Max is the best at the moment,

Dae files are editable in 3D max, but i think you need the collada plugin,

Okay, first off, there's a help forum for this. Second off, no offense, but it's operator error. 3DS Max does allow you to view the .daes, you just need MarioKart64N's script for max, and a COLLADA converter, both of which can be found in his advanced vertexing technique thread in the tutorials forum.
