    Tried testing out my Wii U FD stage, but it froze the game...


    I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I replaced the stage in Modeldata 2, and replaced the textures... The textures I'm currently using are 1024 x 1024.  Could that be it?

    ...ugh.  I'm being too ambitious with my first hacks.

    1024x1024 is, in general, way more than you'll ever need, and likely enough to cause a crash.

    What's this you ask? Well at one point in M&LSS, Mario gets food poisoning and needs a special herb to heal him, so Luigi goes off by himself to get this herb because Mario will turn into a bean if he doesn't get healed. So what if Luigi didn't get back in time? I figured that since the BeanBean people are basically people with beans as their heads, Mario would still have his abilities, he'd just be green and his face be shaped differently.
    @RebelliousTreecko Yes it's probably the 1024x1024 textures, depending on how many of those you have, shrink them down to 512x512, 256x256 or 128x128. I ran into the same problem while I was doing those M&L styled Bros because most of their original textures were 512x512 so I had to shrink them down. Also make sure to pay attention to how many faces that model has, the higher the face count is, the smaller the textures will have to be to work, and vice versa, which is how I was able to have a lot of pretty big textures with my SM64 Mario because the model was extremely low-detailed, plus having the model be too detailed can have the game crash. A nice way to bypass that is to split the stage up in parts and have multiple mdl0s inside the ModelData[0] (or whatever number it is)

    I make YouTube videos, SM64 hacks, Brawl Hacks (obviously), NSMBW hacks, and GoldenEye 007 Mods. I also have a short attention span and tend to switch around a lot and put things on hold. But when I do finish things, 95% of the time I gave 120% effort, the other 5% of the time I give 100% effort.

    what gravity said.. try using 512x512 instead mate. 1024 will just give a big filesize and will most likely crash. if the textures were 1024x512 then no, it wont crash
