Game Crash During Item Edit Attempt

The other day I picked up Brawlscape, I'm sure you guys know what that is, but anyways, I tried to edit the common3.pac file and edited via photoshop a couple of items, once I repacked, i put my SD card bak in the wii, and expected no problems, but it wound up crashing the game, freezing on the wii "wriststrap" screen.

I'm using brawl+, would that conflict with altering the common3 file?

BrawlScape tends to corrupt your edited files. Use BrawlBox instead.

Something does seem to bug me about the items.  There's a file called ItmCommonBrres.pac, which is stored in the item directory.  That file contains all of the common items as well.  However, I don't recall anyone mentioning about that file.
