.rel files

Hello, could someone help me with getting .rel files to work since whenever i a stage that needs them it freezes when i have it or without it. im using the riivolution xml which places all files in a folder on the sd card root called 'ssbb' everything else is working fine (well not custom csps)
am i doing something wrong?
is there a better xml which allows them to work (i havent had any luck finding any others that i keep hearing about)

this might seem a little silly, but how do i find out what stage it was originally meant to go over if it doesnt say?

Well rel files freezes for me too but I'm PAL and most users and rel are NTSC-U. Rel files are region locked.
