    I'm not exactly familiar with model swaps, but what I do know is that not only do you need the model data, but also the texture data to go with it.

    Also, only certain things can be model swapped.  For instance, you can replace Wario's WarioWare helmet with Mario's cap for Kirby.  I own a few Kirby Hat textures that involved swapping hat models.
