Good news, everyone! </Farnsworth>

With a little help from another part of the boards here, I learned how to edit the sky. Since I can only do black-and-white for the sky, the colors from the daytime-to-night lightning is still active. However, it just makes the white stars that I have go from bright white to a more eerie red color, which actually looks pretty cool. Still, since it's supposed to be a darker version of Battlefield, let me show you guys just how the place looks at high noon.

I still plan on doing something with the water and maybe the clouds as well. The platforms might get a change too. Other than that, any critiques and suggestions are welcomed.

I don't really like the platforms and you should try doing something with the sun clock, and for god's sake don't erase the moon, it looks very badass, I can't wait for the release!

There's not many stage textures I like.  Most of them are just weird recolors and don't look like anything.  This is the first stage texture I actually want, haha.  It reminds of the stage "moonlite wilderness" (or something like that) from Tekken 4 or 5.  The moon, the platforms, the stars in the BG make it look like an epic place for a battle.  It'll probably make me use battlefield all the time haha.  I'm definitely gonna keep track of you Smiley

...did you figure out how to change the sky texture? I am also working on a BattleField texture and was wondering how to edit the sky Tongue

On the SkyBG file (the white-to-black gradient picture), you can replace the picture with anything you want, but it needs to be black-and-white. We're talking solid black (#00000) and solid white (#FFFFF) and the levels in-between. If there is an error, it means it's not black-and-white enough. Play with the black and white levels in photoshop.

And remember, black shows up. White does not, so if you have a stary sky, the stars need to be black and outer space needs to be white. The easiest way to do that is simply to Invert the picture.

    Thank you.

By the way, I plan on doing something similar to Smashville and Yoshi's Island eventually.
