Game freezes after loading screen

No beep, it just stays on a black screen. *Sigh* I've been running into problems pretty much every day.

There are no details. After the loading screen is done the black screen doesn't go away.

Does anyone know how I can fix this without ditching my info.pac?

I was trying to say maybe you can describe what hacks you have on.

Removing the info.pac fixes this, but this hasn't happened before, and I want to keep the file.
