It's a simple outer glow, with opacity to match the Project M ones. It carries over to the vBrawl ones quite well too!

I don't know about Taiko, but I like it. I do suggest you could make it a little brighter. I created an example of what I mean using your CSP.

You're right it does look better brighter. Now I need to make all the recolor portraits look brighter

Wow, I'm in the process of making my own Sonic ones haha. (Plans foiled!)

It looks nice, I'd just suggest messing with the lighting settings a bit more (place the light source in front of Sonic's face) and brightening it up like in ShadowLuigi's example.

Taiko, when you have time you should make a CSP for the original Brawl characters with recolors. Your style can go toe-to-toe with SJS. I'm rootin' for ya.  :kdance: :kdance: :kdance:
