    I have BrawlBox (v0.71)

I added the bones, but the character isn't really going with the bones. What should I do?

Nothing is weighted to the bones, you have to rig the model to them.

Add all the bones you want, import the model into 3DS Max, move them to the correct positions, then rig. There are plenty of tutorials on how to do this in the Model Tutorials board.

    I don't have 3DS Max, but I have Blender.

You'll need 3DS Max, Blender's format is slightly different and as such won't properly import without being put through 3DS Max first.

    Anything similar to 3DS Max?

Does 3DS Max Design has more things than just 3DS Max? Also, does 3DS Max Design work for BrawlBox models, too?

Why exactly can you not use regular 3DS Max, if I may ask?

There's 3DS Max 2014 and it is only available on 64-bit Windows. Are there anything else besides that?

I'm pretty sure 2011 and up is available on both 32 and 64. You are trying to get the student version, yes?

A student version? Is that a registered version or an unregistered version?

It's registered. You get it for three years, which is probably more than you'll need, and it's completely legit, which apparently is also important.
