    WinRAR is a great program. Don't even have to pay for it (just close the window whenever it asks to do so, or press okay for it to go away).

    I think 7zip can also do it as well, but I don't remember.

    i had an issue with windows 8 and winrar/7zip. there not fully compatible. however peazip was a good alternative and supports all the archive formats. (.7z, .rar, .zip, etc). just another suggestion

    I used Windows Late and 7-zip worked fine. It might have been due to the architecture of your PC. (mine was 32-bit)
