Hello, I am new to this site, but i have been using the hacks posted here for a while.  I recently got back into Brawl Modding, and nothing seems to be working.

EXAMPLE:
I am trying to do the Destiny Islands stage replacement for Eldin Bridge.  I put the STGOLIN.pac file into the
x:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\stages\melee directiory, and I edited the common5.pac with BrawlBox and put it in the x:\...\pf\system directory as required.  I put the included music files into the x:\...\pf\sound\strm directory, all as directed.  When I popped the SD card into the Wii, loaded Gecko OS, and ran the game, and for some reason, it played vanilla Smash instead.

Here is a download link to my problem:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/y0sdbdhc0sp945l/BrawlProblem.zip
(sorry about the ads...)

If someone could analyze it and tell me what's wrong it would be greatly appreciated.   Wink

Additional Specs:
RSBE01
NTSC-U
Wii Version 4.3U
Loader Gecko OS

Is your stage actually named STGOLIN?

No, that's the name of the Eldin Bridge .pac file.  The stage is Destiny Islands.

That's what I'm saying. The name is wrong. It should be STGOLDIN.pac

Oh, thanks, that clears up the Stage, but what of the Common5.pac difficulty?

If I remember correctly, you don't need common5 with Gecko. Rather, export sc_selcharacter and/or sc_selmap (as needed) and put them in pf\menu2

Wait, I typed it wrong on my original post, the name is correct on my SD card, so that can't be the problem.  Is there a .gct I need to download in my X:\codes folder?

PS. Thanks for clearing up the common5 issue  Grin

If your GCT includes the File Patch Code, it should load...

It doesn't freeze? It just loads the default Bridge of Eldin?

Yeah it loads the default bridge.  I just recently tested with the sc_selmap_en.pac file in the menu2 and it didn't show my edits on that either.  Gecko even says: "SD Codes Found: Applying".  I just don't understand.

Try removing the _en and see if it loads.

Nope, didn't work.  I will also note that there was an rel file that was included with the stage that pointed to eldin, I put it in the pf\module folder, still, no dice.
