Hey guys, I decided to revamp my PM Snake once more. Im trying to give him a better cyber-base camo design
I think I should make him a bit darker. This is actually a very early attempt. I think I'll fix up the colors a bit in the next version.

Not gonna lie, I greatly prefer the first version of Mirage Snake over all the other attempts you've made so far. If I were you I'd stick with the first one because it's that good imo.

Try making the fur a slightly desaturated midnight blue and the tie indigo, and then revert the letters back to "DK" and give them a yellow outline. I think the P:M looks too tacked on and out of place.

hello guys, i see the new thread is going on now, i'm sorry for derailing from the original one, i only showed incompetence by doing so and i feel ashamed, but seeing you all wanting to let the project go on makes me happy and confident
DEM MARIO BROS., JUST YES! and that Snake with the digi-camo, i know it shouldn't be a real camouflage, but it just gives him a fancytastic look

i'm back to keep helping, and i was thinking of an idea for a post, which i'm going to explain now

What are you guys favorite mirage characters done so far and why?
the purpose of this is to see what characters people like the most and take as possible molds, chosen by majority, and know their opinion about their concept of this project, same goes for the next question:

What do you think X character needs/should have in their Mirage form and why?

i hope these question don't cause any chaos, let's go share points of view, starting with mine:

my favorite Mirage entries are NoFun's Zelda (middle one) and Sheik

because both just share the same colors, and the combinations of colors are well placed and balanced, though they don't stop looking like the characters they are, Sheik looks more ninja-like with that dark outfit, ready to sneak at midnight, and Zelda still looks like a member of royalty with a gothic touch

My favorite would have to be Dio's first Mirage Snake, hands down.

Second would be NoFun's alternative Mirage Bowser.

Tried to match Xeno's ZSS color scheme, but it still needs some tweaks.

the Luigi looks great, but now Mario looks like waluigi and that's the main problem to avoid.
as for Zamus, I trust you on that one.

XenoZoa I appreciate your love/criticism for my original Snake and its always welcome, but im always trying to see if I can make a bit better using a more apparent texture.
I'll try one last revamp for Snake. Sorry I keep going back to him I just keep thinking im missing a key detail to making him a really great texture. :/ Maybe im just overthinking him.

if you saw the original Mars, Maritime and Minty projects, this is pretty much the same, just that we're going for a mainly-Purple version of the characters, made by everyone who would like to help and give feedback; all based and inspired on Project M thanks to the combination of colors it sports inside the menu screens and other interface assets.

I use projects like these as filler costumes for cBliss till the LST releases their textures, if they are still working on it.

It just feels too forced imo, not natural enough or a tad too gimmicky. Have you tried messing around with hexagons or military digital square pixels?

Oh and Obskore's Falcon is hella cool.

I think it's among the worst of the bunch tbh. No hard feelings Obskore, just my opinion.

So, I made a mirage fox salt that's purple and black instead of purple and white for those of us that favor a darker color scheme. Hoping to have in-game previews soon. It might not be this week cause I'm going to a pm tourney on Friday.
