Brawlex clone tool: How do I use it in Brawl Minus

Unfortunately, I am unable to use it with Brawl Minus, I am able to replace Pichu and Roy but I don't want to replace *Cuddles my Pichu*. How can I add a new character without replacing the two? I don't want to replace my only friend. and it seems I can't add new slots or anything. I've also tried adding a character with both of them in . My character doesn't even appear.
