common5.pac and sc_selcharacter.pac troubles.

so you cant have asf1nks sc_selcharacter.pac and common5.pac in the same sd?

i have common5.pac in system folder and CSS in menu2.

apparantly i was doing CSP and it froze cuz i was puttin it in CSS but filesize was too big....so i used common5.pac to do the rest of my csp's but apparantly common5 has no effect on it cuz when i put it in...everything i put for the csp in common5 did not show up.

so....how can i do this?  how can i get all the csps on one thing...or am i able to use the two separate things?

if you know how to edit the common5.pac then you can put all of the select character pictures into one file....if all of them are in the one file then i guess there would be no reason to have both :D

not really...i mean i know where the CSP's are at but all that other stuff idk wat those are.

if i managed to put it all in one file...and then bring it over to my sc_selcharacter.pac thing....would that still bring it over the filesize limit?

also i dont know much about common5.  i know common3 lol but this is probably the first time ive gone into common5.

Lol..sorry i confused you...what you can do is get something called cupASH. its a program that opens up all of the image files in the common2.pac so you can edit them. however i think they come out as .TGA files and you have to use a program like photoshop

No, don't confuse him and make him use an effectively worthless program D:

Use BrawlBox and open up common5.pac. Go to sc_selcharacter_en inside of common5 and then go to char_bust_tex_lz77 and inside each of the MiscDatas is a different characters CSP's. Extract them in any image format you like, edit them and then replace them.

And if you have a sc_selcharacter.pac with all of the CSP's in it already you can just right click the sc_selcharacter_en inside of common5, click replace and then replace it with your file. Just make sure all of the MiscDatas inside of char_bust_tex_lz77 have their compression set to LZ77 (which you can check to see if it is on the right side of the window in BrawlBox).

If you have GIMP you shouldn't need to because it opens .tga files.
