Ok so I have just recently gotten into brawl modding and I use configurable Usb loader to load my SSBB game. I have successfully gotten regular Project M as well as Project M patt edition to work through usb loader using its ocarina feature. Both of these mods only had character textures and I wanted to try a mod that had some characters that have ther own move sets so I found Pikezer's Brawlex Pack and downloaded it.
(this is the pack: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=203792 ).

I put it on to my SD card and tried to load it up using ocarina but every time I tried it would just load up a regular brawl. To test to see if the mod would even work I made a virtual sd card with the pack on it and used dolphin with a virtual GeckoOS to load the cheats. When I used this it loaded up just fine and everything worked.

What is it that I am doing wrong? Sorry that im probably a n00b but I really need help! thanks!

I'm not 100% positive if I can help as I've never tried to use someone elses BrawlEX pack on mine, but I use CFG USB Loader to load my own and it works fine. Make sure you have the Ocarina option turned on, and that the hook is 'AXNextframe' or whatever the one that starts with AX is called.

Ok so I tried what you told me. I loaded it up on CFG USB and made sure that ocarina was on AND thst the hook type was set to Axnextframe instead of VBI which is what I had it on before. still I got the same results of it just loading up a normal brawl.  Cry  maybe im not putting it on the sd right or something?
heres what's on the SD:

boot.elf
gameconfig
Apps
Codes
private
usb-loader

You should do it just like you would with Gecko OS, however, try all the hood types still get results. I use VBI, and it works. Also, you need to wait a few secs before enteribg  the CSS, but this isn't your problem.

Also, be sure the 1st hook type is the same as the 2nd and vice versa.  Ah, and the code file name is "RSBE01.gct" right?

Yes the code file name is "RSBE01.gct" . It's in the codes folder in the usb-loader folder. Also, what do u mean when you say the st hook type should be the same as the second? don't u just the hook type to whatever in the usb loader? Also what is CSS?
sorry im just trying to learn so that i wont have to ask as much and get better.

No problem ^^' I actually use the default and older USB loader, not the Configurable one...Also, I think the "codes" folder shouldn't be inside the usb loader folder, but actually in the SD root. Ah, and CSS is Character Selection Screen.

Put the code file (RSBE01.gct) in a folder on the root of your sd card called 'Codes', not in the usb loader folder, and see if it works.

Also make sure you've included all the files provided in the download in their appropriate file path destinations
