Looking for a tutorial on how to create characters from scratch.

Good day, sorry to bother any of you, was just wondering if anyone knew where a full tutorial was on how to get started on creating custom characters for super smash bros brawl.

I searched around and found programs like brawlbox and such but I am not sure where to go from there as I don't want to just change a texture or add a move to a character, I am hoping to create a character from scratch with custom moves, model, animations, and sounds. Kind of like from the mod "Super Smash Bros. Infinite" how they have shadow and goku in there, or in Project M how they have Mewtwo.

Modeling is no problem because I model all the time in Maya and I animate all the time too.

If anyone could point me in the right direction on how to get physically started I would greatly appreciate it.
