When submitting, what do I do if I don't know who to credit?

I made a sonic OC that I want to submit a texture and PSA for, but I don't know who made the "Tails over Sonic" mod that I used as a base since I DLed it such a long time ago. I'd like to submit it, but I don't want to be banned for plagiarism. What should I do?
