ZOMG, its not a ZSS texture ^^
Having trouble with Lucario freezing my game when selected on the css. I can use downloaded textures no problem and it only happens after I edit the face so 90% certain its something im doing wrong. I am setting it to indexed colour.
If i use ASH to create the pcs and pac the game will freeze on the css after lucario is selected.
If i use smashbox to create them it will not freeze but lucario's face just appears as jumbled flickering colours in game.
Ive been careful to compare my own texture and others but i cant see whats wrong. Any ideas?

    Lucario's face is an indexed texture.  Any texture that has a +1 or a +2 in its file name requires an indexed palette; Lucario's face is a +1 texture.

    What you need to do is index the texture through Photoshop.  I've done Lucario textures with ASH and they turned out just right when you properly index the face texture.

    I had been checking that, tried it again just there to be sure but still no luck Sad. ZSS body is also +1 and has never given trouble like this for me

    EDIT: It turns out it might not be his face after all. I included my custom texture minus the face and it still freezes on the css. is there any other part of lucario that requires special attention?

    Lucario only has one indexed texture, which is its face.  All the other texture parts are normal textures.

    Do you have custom portraits? Try re extracting a fresh lucario and putting your tgas in there.

    If its not the face giving u trouble check the size of the pac file. If its any bigger than the original when run through ASH then it will freeze on the CSS. If it's any bigger in smashbox I think it will mess up the texture. If it is this problem try to not include so much and it will lower the file size.

    You know the detail of the texture is not the problem... If you keep it in the original format (tga 32bpp RGB) it will ALWAYS stay the same size, you must have changed something somewhere.

    Ive managed to get the face working if i exclude the rest of the body. but it all freezes if i include everything. I'll keep trying.

    Lucario's PAC file uses 1,629 KB (1.58 MB).  Try extracting its PCS file with lz77ex.exe.  If the new PAC file doesn't use 1,629 KB, then the Lucario texture is corrupted.

    Ive narrowed it down to the body texture replacing everything on by one. If i run it through ASH it freezes my game, i tried replacing it via Smashbox and exported to pac. Attached a screen for this, the texture works, but the pac is smaller, only 1117KB to be exact
