as much as i thought the fanbase of this project as formed of mostly cancer, i [censored] you not when i say that im gonna miss project m. the team has made amazing costumes, fantastic stages; hell, project m is how i got into modifying my copy of brawl before i moved onto brawl minus. it's been one hell of a ride, guys.  -b |

It's brought me great displeasure to say this, but Project M has ceased development. Read more here: http://projectmgame.com/I think the real blow here is how sudden it was. One minute, PMDT is showing us all these pictures of new costumes, and then the next, it's all gone. No Awakening Roy, no Headband Puff, no future Clone Engine characters... Everything's just stopped. And will never be worked on again. The miracle never happen. So long to one of, if not the best Brawl mod ever conceived. To the PMDT, I salute you for all your hard work. |

I never was a fan of pm because I hate melee, but I think this will mean the total collapse and death of brawl hacking in general, because after all, people think pm is brawl hacking itself (and it's not a really wrong thing to say because pm brought brawl hacking to fame even though it also killed it with its meleetard fanbase).

No Awakening Roy B-b-b-b-but muh awakening roy import ;~; Anyways, this was really just... sad. I know one friend IRL that applied to be an animator on the DT, along with myself. I'm preeeetty sure I would have made it in too lol. I feel the worst for them because I know what it's like to give up something you love doing. It's rough, but you have to move on. No other option. |

This I can relate to... considering I applied as well. Not too happy to find out this is how I know what happened to my application. PM to me, has been something I've gone back to Brawl for. I didn't start hacking because of it. Or get into it because of it... but It kept me coming back, hoping for new things like stages, characters, costumes, ideas for my own PSA's I do on the side.
I'm still upset with how I found out... and that my application was wasted, but I understand that things get stale and that they'd want to move onto something more fresh. |

Very unfortunate, sad to see all that talent disbanded, but im sure they have big plans for their futures.
And hey, at least now we can burn a disc with Project M on it and not worry about updates

Welp, so much for that. What a most peculiar way to go. Kinda puts into perspective all of that P:M drama we've had on the boards over insignificant things, eh?
Hopefully people don't abandon hacking just because of that.
Guess it falls on us to outlive P:M and keep SSB hacking going... We're really gonna need to upgrade our server now.
