Just because they've been in the vault for a long time doesn't mean they should of been there in the first place.
Their time in the vault shouldn't be used as criteria as whether they should stay or not, as the decision will affect future submission alike.
CSPs are clearly in violation of the rules and should strictly only be submitted through the new feature. However, In my opinion large packs like these can be allowed as they feature a wide variety of CSPs.

I recall we had this issue with tutorial submissions before (Debating whether some highly DL'ed one on the Vault had to stay or not), stating in the end that the only tutorial submissions accepted are the ones in need of DL'ing x and y file, like that one highly DL'ed.

We either need to figure out a rule for CSPs, or delete them all.

It's just not fair, as I said back then concerning the tutorials.

    EDIT:
    Found it.

    ===============================================

    How about this:

Every CSP maker gets to make 1 single submission with all their CSPs, and whenever they update, they'll have to Edit this one submission.

So, in other words: 1 submission per CSP maker with all their CSS work.

I like this idea, however we still need some kind of criteria as to what constitutes a 'pack.' We can't have people uploading 4 or 5 CSPs call it a pack and never updating it ever again.

I asked an Admin a while ago (I think it was Vyse?) before I uploaded my pack... they said it was allowed.

Hmm.  The more I think about this, the more I think that packs of CSP's shouldn't be allowed on the Vault (so yes, I'm changing my mind from my previous statement and saying that the existing ones should get the boot).  With the new CSP functionality on the Vault, there's really no point to having the packs there.

Still, if they do become allowed, I agree with your suggestion ASF1nk.  There would have to be some sort of minimum size for each pack and it'd have to be pretty damn big.

Now, that would be well above any limit that I was imagining.  I mean, I was debating in my head whether or not a limit of 100 would be too much.

100 sounds good for me... for a CSP maker, 100 is below average for a collection

In my opinion, the already made CSP packs can stay, but new CPS's should ONLY be uploaded with the new function.

Well there are a total of 469 individual CSPs in the game I think. So 100 CSPs might be too low as a limit.
Also stage portraits should have their own limit, and icons and name shouldn't add up towards the minimum requirement.

I always found that large collections of portraits are best displayed in threads. Take mine for example. Each character links to an album, and each album has the option to download portraits collectively or individually. Brawl Vault isn't an image gallery. Individual CSPs should be kept to threads or uploaded with the new CSP feature.

So there are 469 CSPs in the game? I've made 7,404 CSPs. I don't see the point of uploading them all in one pack if only 1/15th of them will actually be used. Waste of download time, you know?

But I have upload a CSP Pack of sorts. I provided the individual images along with a char_bust_tex file to inject into a common5. Contains actual game files with the injected images. Every single portrait replaced with my own work. Packs like that seem fine I suppose. Just would be hard to track and verify.

I've always taken a hard line on this portrait subject, so I doubt it was me.

I don't see any reason to have them on the Vault. It forces people to download a bunch of things they don't want, and then forces them to sift through all those unwanted things to find the stuff they're after. I guess packs are meant to be conveniences, but I feel like they are, in fact, the opposite.

Ladies and gents bear witness to what is possibly the greatest Brawl mod of all time:

    http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=26546

Forget everything else, this annihilates it all.  It's clear months or possibly years of work were put into carefully constructing this masterpiece.  My mind has simply been blown.
