And thus, jasonvalle has been forbidden from submitting anything in the Vault. Or just leave up the report so the hacker doesn't receives more PMs?
If the hacker is sick of getting PMs, he'll just add the problem directly in the description. And that's exactly what StarWaffle just did. (Or the hacker can fix the problem, or delete the hack as well.) And, I say again, the report was still a valid report, even if the first part wasn't valid. Nope. So according to your logic, something like that would have been a valid report ? I guess I could report the hack but the guy hasn't showed up since December 2010, so ... xD

He hasn't? Damn, guess my report will fall on deaf ears. Well, at least people won't click on it and expect a hack. Still, this does pose an interesting problem (though certainly not a new problem). Is there anything we can do about all of the hacks on the Vault that have broken downloads, but their uploaders have left for good? I'm 99% sure there's nothing that can be done (otherwise it probably would have been done already), but I just thought that I'd ask. |

I'm not really sure. I'll ask picano if it would matter much server-wise to remove such hacks from the Vault. Probably not, but heh ... |
