Is a black sword trace possible in any way? Sword traces RGB565 format so more black means more transparant. Is it maybe possible to change the format to one with black as normal?

I don't want the sword to be transparent. This image is from a sword trace: http://i40.tinypic.com/5b44zn.pngIs it possible to make that black not transparent?

Wait, I have the fealing you don't get me. (i think i explained confusing...) I want to have a sword-trace wich is red but also black on ike's sword. I know how to change this trace http://i40.tinypic.com/5b44zn.png
but if you look, The image doesn't have any transparancy, right? Now, the problem is that sword traces 'replaces' transparancy with black. I want to have this kind of effect: But since black = transparancy I can't do this right now. Is it possible to use black (seeable in-game) with this kind of technique?

I actually said it wrong, the more darker the color gets, the more transparacy it has. So dark is transparant.

yes. so like i said, try using a grayish type of black. lower the colors by like 10 n it should all work fine
