He's present in the Japanese release (he's even named the same thing). The issue is that MissingNO is far from the only glitch mon in Gen I. He was the most commonly encountered over here because which glitch mon appears is dependent on your player character name. MissingNO appears for every character named "Ash", which was one of the default choices, and none of us knew any better back then, so that was a commonly inputted name. And the rest is history.

Well but see. I think the Cinnabar glitch didn't work in Japanese games. However the Mew Glitch does. So that's how some people know he freezes in Japanese games... FOR the most part. He can be seen, and caught in the Japanese Blue. But like I said, not with the Cinnabar trick. But with the Mew Glitch.
...
Also, that picture is cute.

Cool. Glad to see at least a couple people like it. I wasn't even sure if I was going to release it at first, since I figured no one would want it. It was such a stupid-easy model/rig, after all.
So, Segtendo, once I finish up Takamaru I'm thinking I'll make Ramona Flowers. Depending on the reception, I might do the others, too. At least Knives and Scott.

Hm... Even though I'm not a fan of Scott Pilgrim. (And really didn't like the movie... Kinda rubbed me the wrong way.)
It should be interesting to see those characters redone with new models from scratch. BY's Scott was great for the time. And even holds up alright by today's standards. But it would be interesting to see a more polished model.
And Ramona... If I recall right, someone was planning on making a PSA for her over Ness. So this is good timing.
...
Also, I made a video using your Missingno. hack.

Also, I made a video using your Missingno. hack.Awesome. I like Scott Pilgrim, particularly the comic and the game, though I enjoy the movie, too. But don't worry, I'm not abandoning my old school Nintendo characters. I've got a couple more Pokemon characters (ones that haven't been done yet, to boot) on the horizon.

I thought the movie was okay (don't think Michael Cera was a good choice for Scott though...) and the game is just [censored]ing awesome. That's why I requested it

Not what I had in mind when reading the comic, but I didn't mind his interpretation either. I thought Mary Elizabeth Winstead was a really boring Ramona, though.
