Hey, quick question, what's a good size (in pixels) for the background image of a Moderately large 3D Stage Based on Final Destination?

512x512 is usually enough. However, you could use 1024x1024, depending on the size of the stage file.

Hey mewtwo, can I use the dreamland tutorial stage as a base for my stage? I'm trying my best but I just need some kind of starting point for the main platform.

There're lots of models for main platforms in brawl O.o Anyway, sure, use it. But note that the stage has all the models in DL64, it's just that they're not enabled. So erase the unused stuff if you have any filesize problem later ^^U By the way, I've uploaded a video showing the progress in gamewatching's most expected stage, the Melee FD. I've made some stuff like animating the bottom part, or resizing all the models, but the original thing is his. Note the nice effects in the main platform.

lol Mkay I'm planning to animate my platforms and make a completely different texture etc for background and forground. I really need a place as a starting point though XP
Pluss I have no idea how to get models and such from stages, do I just like export and import them like normal? :s

Yeah, import and export mdl0 files into modeldatas. But take care, as getting a model from another stage is not enough. You need the textures too. You can import a whole texturedata into your stage, and delete the unused textures after that. You can see the textures used by a model by expanding it and browsing the textures1 and textures2 folders in there.

Not to be rude, or of a bad occurrence, but I believe the sphere underneath the Final Destination is a little too big. Or at least the shine around it, is. I just noticed it to be... different from the Original.

Okay I got a problem, I want to vertex the platforms from my stage into a snowflake shape. But I keep getting errors when I try to open the Coladda file with 3DS that AIS makes.
