I'm glad that people are voting for the 2nd option, but does anyone mind telling me how I can improve the animations? I've fixed up the hitbox placement for some moves (for example, the U Tilt was EXTREMELY unreliable and the D Air's hitbox position was weird etc) but I'd like a bit of animation critique since I know that a couple of them could be smoother.

wait - it looked very stiff and shaky. And i noticed the front leg was sliding instead of bending. It should be keeping the foots placement globally(if you know what i mean). Same with the back leg. Also the arms were a bit shaky. The head was very static, looking in the same direction- doesnt give the impression of him actually looking at anything. Also the chest/upper body should bend a bit when it goes back and forth.
walk - the arms and up body was stiff. Try rotating the hips and making the body try to keep its form, itll make it look more natural.
overall - the animations looked stiff. But when theyll all put together, it seems like it creates a new "style" for him. There were some good animations though. But my overall problem with them are the stiffness. Also try to think about "recoil", it doesnt have to be major recoil though - its depending on the attack.
Id give more feedback, back im tired >.>..=p
hopefully others will give you better feed back tho

Using the sprites for it was a bit difficult since the movement is minimal. I'll probably base it more around how he moves here:

They literally hardly move at all in the actual animation. They do move a little bit though, so I will make a tiny bit of movement. But honestly, it won't be too noticable.

I was really happy with how the smashes came out (in particular the forward one). A lot of Spidey's moves in all three of the MvC games seem rather stiff and quick.
Also, can you clarify on what you mean by "recoil"? I'm a tad confused.

when you jump. You land. You dont land in a stiff way(unless you try to, but even then theres recoil). The force of you falling down and hitting the floor causes you to bend your knees and back a bit. Thats what i mean by recoil.

Ah ok. Stuff like that is sort of difficult for Spidey because of the fact that his natural standing position is so low. He'd practically be lying on the ground if he went lower XD However, I will definitely try.
No it's not spidey without web swing(to me) They're there to be read

I haven't even seen or looked for the Spiderman pictures or maybe video, but I saw Mango Sentinel and that was all I needed to see really.

i got a idea for Spider-man vertex just port the already made vertex over Shiek then fix the animations for the model i think it will good as good as Spider-man vertex over Shiek instead cp. falcon

isnt there a spider man pack that is over MK or something? it would just need import gray fox model over shiek and put the textures and take off his sword but i think that my be hard?
