the inner red circle is too big it needs to be a tad smaller with an outline so its noticeable at the moment it looks flat compared to this:

You know what? For a custom model made by an amateur 3d modeler, it looks perfect for me. Stahp being picky guys.

my major is computer art/animation, im going to be a sophmore next year, we havent even learned character modeling yet neither how to really use uvs in maya, only thing ive learned is basic camera movement and basic modeling in maya. so yes i am still an amateur just because iam majoring in somthing dosent automatically make me an expert in 2-3 years i will but not now. however one of the things i did learn and have experienced first hand this year is that nothing will be perfect and to stop nitpicking over very minor things as if i do this nothing will ever get done on time and could potentially get ruined megaman's cool and all, but what about alttp link?
im gonna redo some things on him

also, i realized that people's fingers aren't rigged in the 3DS verison of ssb4 (probably to save space, because finger rigging isn't really necessary). but they do sometimes change hand models, depending on what attack they are using. but in some cases like for fox & pit, there fingers aren't modeled individually, but just 1 extruded part of the had, with lines to separate the fingers. just wanted so say that. i think this is more appropiate for the ssb thread instead of here...

Well, your instructors are going to be critiquing your work, so better get used to it when you get to the modeling. I knew and talked with someone who was in such a class, and the instructor was pretty strict on the specifics.

they do critique my work all the time(like twice a week) the thing is no one here knows how to properly critique anything themselves and nitpicking over somthing would have my critique be worse as more than likely i wouldnt have finished the assignment. to properly critique somthing u state the good, then somthing that can be improved, then somthing thats good again, then give an overall summary of what your critiqueing, most people here just jump into the tiny flaws rather than looking at the big picture that it does in fact look like megaman. as an example, somone having a "good enough" looking room with all the furniture and stuff modeled will be better than someone having a perfect hyper realistic desk lamp modeled and the rest of the room unfinished leading to this person to get a lower grade when the assignment is to have a finished room. this can be applied to megaman because i can spend weeks or months trying to nitpick and make everything be perfect but will those small nitpicks really make that much of a difference? the answer to that is no. id hate to have people wait months just because the blue is tiny bit off and then when im finished it would barely look any different. now you may be thinking "you dont say this when people say it great" and thats because they arent critquing at all what theyre doing is just praising the model, the main thing here is im not "mad" that your critiquing its just your doing it wrong

Excuse me, how would the blue being a tiny bit off make people have to wait months? Stop exaggerating.
Secondly. There is no need to state the good about it. We can see it plainly for ourselves without having to say a word, and on top of that, some of us already have. You don't need 10-20 people saying the same thing when someone else have already said it.
