Question: Is there a way to activate only 1 stat tracker? I plan on releasing som'in soon and I don't want it to be missed.... maybe leave the "new hacks" section on? It'd let people know what's been added to the vault atleast so som'in cool (or crappy) wasn't missed.

For some reason when I try to download something (like ShadowSnake's Birdo) I click the link that was supposed to go to the mediafire's download link and it took me here: Sorry if this is already something common, but I just logged in after being away a few days, so i'm just now learning about this DDOS attack that happen recently |

Mediafire may have a tickbox underneath the download link. Just untick it to not go to those bogus sites.

Brawl Vault Changes as of Oct 19
*************************************************
Audio hacks (Audio / SFX) separated out into separate table.
-May help decrease query times. (Separate table search of roughly 10k apiece instead 20k)
-Searches not specifically for Audio / SFX hacks will not return them. They will only be shown if they are selected from the graphical menu or from the dropdown in advanced search.
-May be buggy. I coded in some simple separate functions for Audio add/edit/delete/report and tested each... but there is always a chance for error.
This is only a temp solution, but it's the best I can offer right now. Brawl Vault is a hobby, not a job, and I have little time to devote to it --- even with the issues it current has.
If anyone has PHP / HTML / Javascript / SQL knowledge, and is willing to help out, please contact me. You don't need to do all of them... but some time in the future, the Vault needs...
-Redesign: Simply HTML template of what each individual hack looks like. (Someone else can make it dynamic)
-Query Optimization: My SQL queries / table setup is far from efficient considering the number of users...
-Javascript: Preferably, a redesign using jQuery's ajax functionality to make POST requests instead of my crap custom code.
-Back End: The PHP which ties all of it together needs some major re-organization for aesthetics and efficiency.

Oh, I guess this is why I now have 0 hacks and 0 downloads?  Well, at least looking through the Vault is faster now. Thanks for all of this. |

Figures. That's what I get for only doing music hacks Oh, and for all of you music hackers out there, if you want your BrawlVault sig to link to your songs, add "&Vault=audio" to the end of the link in the sig. It still wont show how many DLs or hacks you have, but at least it'll get people to your downloads.^Edit: Shouldn't have to do that now. -pic |

Search on user id should return hacks from both tables now.
Probably can do the same with sigs... but the code for that is a bit confusing already.

Thanks for that. I just checked it and got to see all of my hacks. Still shows zero uploads and downloads, but beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. |
