a litle help here about the character screen select

is there a way to change the select character portraits in emulator,?cause me and my sister are trying to do that a while and always freezes the game,all the other hacks works fine,please give me some help
also,if i breaked a rule or put this in the wrong session i am sorry...

CSS is placed in Common3.pac if I recall... Can't really help you unless you give out more detail.

thanks for the welcome,but the thing is,i did all right that was in the tutorial,and still dont work,when i enter in,training/brawl the game freezes,i am trying to put goku portrait over pit
